Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is one of the most used techniques currently in dentistry and dental aesthetics, and consists of clarifying the color of the teeth with respect to their current color. Patients who have used orthodontics usually wish to undergo this treatment.
Either because the natural color of your teeth is very yellow or simply because they have gone yellow by age or consumption of certain foods, teeth whitening may be the ideal option in case you want to have a whiter smile.
There are two types of whitening:
Home
The dentist makes a model of their teeth and with it a kind of cover adapted to them is manufactured.
A small portion of bleaching gel is applied to said sheath and everything is placed for a certain amount of hours during the day or during the night for approximately two weeks.
Under the supervision of your dentist this treatment is very effective.
Office or Consulting room
This procedure takes approximately one hour per visit. In this case, the dentist puts some protectors for your lips and gums, and then applies the chemical whitening solution on the teeth. Sometimes a special light is used to activate the bleaching agent. Teeth whitening is a non-invasive dental aesthetic treatment. It is the most conservative treatment to restore the dental aesthetics of the smile in people who want to have white teeth.
