Resin Restorations

The invention of the resin offers a solution to replace mercury amalgams, which were used by past generations. The use of resins allows the dentist to preserve the dental structure for more years, without having to resort immediately to a dental crown or other type of restoration that requires more wear of the natural piece. The resins must be replaced every few years to prevent any fissures or wear causing deeper cavities or infections that end up causing more severe damage to the tooth and that can end with endodontics or even worse, the extraction of the same.
